Jena and Amelia, the 2 Princesses. They look so deceivingly innocent!

Race for the Cure

We ran, well some of us ran, in the Race for the Cure this year.
We ran for my aunt Carrie who is currently in Chemo and beautifully bald, my Grandma Nielsen who is also being treated and doing great and on of my closest friends Melissa Bremser who is also past it and doing great.
I recommend you all get out and do it next year, it was great!

Blessed with 3
We had Sara Blessed on May 6th. My mom made her dress, it was Beautiful! I wish I had her talent, she has to repeatedly show me how to sew a button on.
When you are pregnant with your 3rd you find everyone telling you how hard 3 is because you are out numbered. I'm going to tell you that is not really the case for me. Maybe it will be later, I can't really say. But for those of you how have seen me in the grocery store with my older 2, you know I was already out numbered. Those 2 pretty much run the show around here. Sara is just so sweet and peaceful, she is a breath of fresh air in all of our chaos! Baby's are a true blessing!
"Can I hold Sara by walking?" I must hear this 20 times a day from Jena. It makes here feel very grown up, though she's not much bigger than Sara by much.
(Notice the new addition of bangs to Jena's hair! Oh yes, we had a second attempt at cutting our own hair! And those bangs go all the way around the side of her head, unfixable! And did I mentions she cut her 2 best friends hair also! What more can I say....Seriously.)

Proof
While on our vacation it was mandatory we go to a Dodger's game. Poor Barry only got to see about 2 whole innings because...well taking a 4 and 5 year old to a major league game is a little distracting. Proof he's a great Dad, he didn't complain once about having to go get food, or shirts or going to the bathroom for the 18th time! Here's Jena just enjoying her Dodger Dog!

Disneyland
Well we took our first real family vacation the last week in April and it was Exhausting but fun and worth it. I thought I'd share a few of my favorite pix.
Jena loved the princesses! I don't think you can see very well, but the expression on her face is so great! It was all so real to her.
Ryan went through Jedi training to become an official Padawan. If you know how much Ry and Barry love Star Wars then you know how awesome this was for them. If you know Star Wars that well, you will notice Ryan is posed just like Obi Wan. This he did all on his own...pretty funny.

A Good Laugh
I was looking through iPhoto today and noticing all the random pictures we have. Our kids love to grab the digital camera and snap away. What in the world did our parents do when they had to pay for all the film we wasted? I had a good laugh at all the pictures we have of random people at disneyland. Turns out Jena snapped one of me that is actually not half bad...can you believe it, a picture I actually like of myself! Thought I'd share just because it is so rare... :)

Cute Babe!
Just a darling picture of Sara! Hopefully everyone received her birth announcement and picture. She is so fun, she is really starting to smile and talk to to you. We just can't get enough of her!

Budding Beautician in the Family!
It turns out Jenaka is going to be a Beautician!
As if the first hair cutting experience wasn't enough, we had a second episode! While I was visiting with my friend Natasha, Jenaka and Natasha's 2 girls Lucy and Amelia where downstairs playing. I thought I had hidden all the scissors in the house, but had forgotten Granny's sewing scissors in the basement.
Suddenly Amelia comes running upstairs shouting happily 'Mommy, Jena cut my hair!' Horrified I ran downstairs to stop here before she cut Lucy's hair also. I was too late however. Lucy, who had hair just above her shoulder now had a chunk on one side to hear ear. Jena was found hiding under the ironing board in the corner, and all the hair was nicely placed in the garbage can. Amelia who had gorgeous hair almost to her waist, now had both sides to her shoulders! How do you apologize for that!?
I didn't even notice until almost and hour later that Jena had also cut her own hair again, about bang length mostly in the front but a little on the sides also. She now just has uneven hair as it is un-fixable unless cut that short all over.
As it turns out Lucy hair blended in nicely with a little more cutting and Amelia looks darling with shorter hair, which she apparently is very pleased with! Thank goodness. Yes, Natasha and I are still friends! :) And all scissors are on lock down at our house!
