I just find this quote very true, funny, interesting, take your pick.
CNN is one of the participants in the war. I have a fantasy where Ted Turner is elected president but refuses because he doesn't want to give up power.

Church Ads
I ran into these new ads the church is starting to run. I think they are great, they really sparked emotion in me. I also learned that when people go to www.mormon.org they can go to a live chat page and ask their questions about the church and receive immediate answers. How great is that! I think that gives members such a great place to send people, people like me who feel inadequate answering questions on my own. Just thought I'd share!
They also have new print ads out too, check them out here.

Finished...Sort of

Just some pictures of the kids costumes. Still working on Barry's Jedi, he was very torn between which side he was on, the light or the dark. So it took him forever to choose find the right material. Hope I get it done in time.

Grandpa's Helicopter

Just a cute photo of Grandpa and the kids with 'his' Helicopter. Life flight came to a safety fair in Farmington so we had to go see with the kids.

Favorite Things
A Few of my favorite things lately...
Sara's constant babbling.
Ryan sounding words out without help.
Jena's ability to entertain herself for hours without my help.
Barry being home the last 6 days straight.
The best tasting most outrageously priced steak from Flemings.
Red, orange and yellow leaves, cool air and the smell of fall.
Dressing up for Halloween.

7 Year itch...
7 Years of marriage tomorrow. Wow, that flew by! Which is much better than dragging by. I Love my husband more now than when I married him, I didn't realize that could happen back then. I think we are going to Frightmares for our anniversary, pretty funny actually, but it was my pick and I just want to go on some roller coasters. Besides Sara is totally on the bottle now so that means I can leave her for extended periods of time and so I'm taking advantage!
The Jedi costume is ending up costing much more than first imagined, it is very official, obi, tabards, belt, boots, padawan braid, food capsules, the works. And if you know what all that stuff is then you must have The Force too. Barry and Ryan think they have it, The Force that is. I once found this very annoying and childish, so I have to admit, I'm pretty into it now. Just to see how giddy Ry is when we try the costume on, you can't not be excited too. And in the next moment he is all business, "Jedi's don't laugh, Mom" as he waves his hand at me.

Peaceful
Speaking of Jena...I often say she has such an attitude and she does, but it's no wonder where she gets it. On the other had, she is so wonderful and sweet. Take away Ryan's almost constant teasing and she is so calm, kind, helpful, thoughtful and funny. She often tries to help Ry with one thing or another only to be told to 'leave me alone', this hurts her feelings terribly, I forget how sensitive she is. "Mom, I'm serving Sara!" This is her new proclamation after each attempt to help. She learned in primary last week about serving people and is now delighted every time she does. Sara enjoys the 'service' only so long.
I had her trying on her witch costume last night. We started with the purple and black striped tights that I new would be too big, size 7-10, but couldn't find a smaller size. They went clear
to her armpits. She then put on some orange netting leftover from the costume and began to do her booty-shaking dance, which has become an Jena Original. Hilarious!
Jena just asked if I could put a picture of her babies on the website. She has just gone around her room arranging and rearrange them all for the perfect picture.

Oh yeah, Sara go her first tooth Wednesday night. Exciting and painful, it was a rough day yesterday and she is still giving me the guilt trip eyes, but she is reluctantly taking the bottle. Yes, I'm feeling guilty, but we will both get through it!

ooops
Trying to teach Ry how to tie his shoes is about the most frustrating thing I've encountered in a long time. He is so intense, he wants to be shown once and then just do it! He is laying on the floor of the office right now crying and kicking his shoes off. I'm not allowed to touch his shoes either. Ahhh!
Here is a photo of Barry's Softball team, not the greatest picture but it was taken with Nat's new iphone so that makes it OK. Ha, ha!

Change
So I made a goal to get up when or before the kids get up and get showered first thing (not during Sara's nap at 10am) and WOW! I had so much time and got so much stuff done yesterday. Amazing! I think I'll try to continue that habit, no promises though.
Working on costumes for the kiddo's. Jena's Witch is almost done and Ryan's Jedi is not yet started. Sara will be a Bunny thanks to Old Navy. Kind of fun to sew things, I can do quilts no problem. But to sew a dress with gathers and 5/8 inch seems? Who ever heard of 5/8 inch seems? Quilts are 1/4 inch, that took some getting used to, strange how something like a seam allowance can totally mess you up...for a week...
Can't wait for Grey's Anatomy tomorrow! I'm totally obsessed! I also wish I was crazy enough to get one Deal or No Deal, really like this show too.

Sunday nights treat, Mm, Mm Good~

My new shoes, I love Rocket Dogs. Really, really comfortable.
