One of my favorite things to do recently is become a fly on the wall and listen while my kids pretend. It varies from day to day. There is school and restaurant and of course house, and every once in a while everyone is a puppy.
I love to sit and pretend I'm completely unaware of what is going on because if I'm aware they just don't perform. I obviously passed on my stage fright complex.
Right now Ryan is saying things like Sweet Pea, My wife just had a baby, Everyone! Stop! Drop! and Roll!
Jena is of course squealing as much as possible, and she wants to be the girlfriend not the mom, but she doesn't want to kiss anyone! She just told Ry's friend Cole 'I'm the hottest girlfriend in the world!'
I think they could make a pretty good Soap Opera. This is how I learn all of the things that they are learning, and heaven forbid any of them be from me, that I wish they didn't know, say or do. But at the same time they are so innocent and wonderful and childlike.
Just for today I'd like them to be little forever!
