Playing Favorites

You know that fart sound that you make by sticking your tongue out and blowing? Well pretend I know how to spell that sound and that it is also the title of this post.

Today is my birthday and I'm having a bit of a pity party for one.  In hopes to cheer myself up I started going through pictures in iPhoto. It appears that I may have a favorite child lately...

This little boy has me wrapped around his finger.  He is pulls every last ounce of energy out of me everyday and just when I want to scream and run he does something hysterical or adorable and the worst part is he knows I can't resist him.  I'm starting to understand how mothers become overly attached to their last child.

In the last month we started potty training and he has done fantastic. The first week we were in the basement cleaning up toys when I bent over and like an awesome old women ripped a pretty good one. Jake looked at me surprised and said 'Mamma you poop like me!' Laughing pretty hard I told him no, I just farted. He started laughing hysterically and sayings 'Mamma you stinky!'

He pretty much makes the everyday mundane things fun and interesting.

Love you Jakey!

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Hate to be a broken record here but...
I can not believe he is 9!

I attempted to make a football cake...
Lets just say it did not go well.

but he still enjoyed it!
Granny gave Ry one of Grandpa Greats model planes that has been hanging in his home for as long as I can remember. And Ryan has loved it ever since we lived there when Ryan was born.

Trying to be careful!

And the 'to the rescue' cake from DQ! :)

Happy Birthday Monkey!
We love you!

Jena turns 7!

Jena turned 7 right in the middle of the 10 busiest days of our lives.
Grandpa Great pasted away, Bart and Karen came to visit, which means our lives pretty much stop so we can spend time with them while they are here, Jena had a birthday, we blessed Jacob, Matt and Stacie got married and we had Grandpa's funeral.  I'm pretty sure everyone in the extended family got sick and I know I thought I'd never recover from the lack of sleep but we sure had a good time!

So with that said, I hope Jena forgives me for the fact that I could not located my camera during her actual birthday party. So we have iphone photo's and they'll just have to do! :)

She requested a catarpillar cake.
Why? Who Knows!
Definetly not my best work because it was so hot the frosting was melting and sliding off.
Such a Diva with her glasses and scarf. And Yes someone (you know who you are!) gave her and entire bag of candy! :)

A few days before this we had 'Girls Day'.
When I asked Jena what she wanted for her birthday she gave me this huge elaborate list of lunch and shopping and nails and shopping and movies and did I mention shopping?
So Granny treated all the girls to Pedicures and Jena was in heaven.

This is Jena and Allie waiting to start.

Sara was too nervous to put her feet in the water or sit by herself.

Cute Girls

After our pedicure we went to lunch at Red Robbin and there is nothing better than getting to eat this on your birthday!

Don't worry, she did share! :)

Sara is the Big 3....Ohhhhhhhhh My!

Sara is officially 3!

I had planned I writing something about how 3 is my least favorite age.
But would you just look how stinkin cute she is!
This Princess Crown cracks me up.  Matt and Stacie gave Sara some princess dolls in a box that became this crown. They could have just given her the box and she would have been just as happy!

She is getting very particular in what she wants and doesn't want.
She wanted PINK cupcakes for her actual birthday.
And a PURPLE Butterfly cake for her Party.

She is already talking about her cake for next year.

This hand over the mouth thing is sort of becoming her trademark.

Whenever she get's very excited (or embarrassed) she does this.
Of course I think it's pretty adorable.

Thanks to everyone for coming to her party!
She loved the attention!

***********
Just a few pictures of what Sara has been doing all spring.
The poor girl has been SO sick of being inside with a prego mama and then a new baby.

The minute the snow would melt off the lawn and the sun would come out for an hour or two, this is where you would find her.
In the backyard, playing in the dirt.
Pay no mind to the fact that it's only 40 degrees, her winter coat is too small so she only has a jacket and she refuses to keep her shoes on.

She is just so happy to be outside with dirt in her hair, no matter what the temperature!

I just thought I'd share this one cause they are so cute!
Jena loves to read to Sara at night and Sara loves it just as much.

Ryan's Birthday

Just thought I'd post some more pictures from Ryan's Birthday Celebrations this last weekend.
I don't know when or how he got this old but I do know that I'm not old enough to have a 7 year old!

Happy June 26th!

Today is my Dad's Birthday.
My dad is an Amazing Man.

I could go on and on about what a great man, dad, husband, son, grandpa,
hard worker, example, leader and person he is.
But in honor of my Dad I will not, because if you know him you understand that he is a man of few words but the silence in him says everything you need to know.

I Love You Dad!

Today is also Karen's birthday, who I talk about more here.
Happy Birthday Karen!

We Love You!
