Husband Requests Privacy

One Last thing for the day.

The man of the house and I have been going the rounds about this one for a while.

He wants me to make my blog private.

I do not.

I've decided to let him win this one.

As my title says I tend to 'say too much'. I have a hard time filtering because I like to know it all, I like to tell it all and I'm not a very private person.

So it will work like this-

If I know you I will give you access. How technical am I getting do you ask? Not very, I just have to know who you are. As In-
You are my family, my friend, my little brothers friend from high school, we were friends once in a life time but now we never see each other but your like me and you read peoples blogs and never phone but call it good because you are updated on their family or you are my sister-in-laws sister and I don't really know you but hello, you are my sister-in-laws sister!

Was that cut and dried? Good.

So send me your email addresses and the addresses of your sister that reads my blog but doesn't want me to know because she doesn't really know me and I will give you access. :)

You can email me by clicking on my profile or just leave me a comment.

I don't think this was really what Barry had in mind.

The other part is that I will be starting a new blog that is not so detailed and personal. Because I have really enjoyed getting to know people all over the US through this blog and theirs. Some of these women are so smart and clever and refreshing and I love tuning in with them every morning. I will list the new blog here before I zip this one up. I'm thinking it will be about a week or so, maybe longer because I have clinicals coming up and I'll be busy for a while.

So since you will rarely hear me say 'to make the story short', (and if I do, I'm lying) that folks was the long version!

Olympic Plaza Fountains

We went with the Bremser's to the Gateway to let the kids play in The Olympic Plaza Fountains.
I wasn't sure how Sara would do with all the kids and spraying water.
Turns out she couldn't get enough!

Anna, Sara and Jenaka
You can see Ry just right and above Jena in the black shorts.
The one with the super white back and farmer tan arms, yep, that's him.
You can thank the swim shirt for that look. :)
Don't you love Anna and Jena's matching swim suits?
They were part of their dance costumes.
I love costumes you can use later, you actually get your moneys worth.

Oh, That's Cold!
Sara loved how the water 'danced' with the music and she would conduct with her arms.
A pointless video that shows her cute suit and toddler walk and piggy tails and little round belly and well it's not really pointless because she's in it.

Lindsey and Seth

One of my oldest friends Lindsey and her husband Seth are trying to adopt.
My heart aches for them. I can't imagine what it's like being unable to have your own child.
I know the Lord knows their struggles and blesses them each day. They are such wonderful people.

Lindsey is simply the best kind of person. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is but that is the most simple way I know how to say it. We grew up together and she is a jewel. You know how girls are and at one time or another you hear something bad about pretty much everyone you know. Honestly, I've never heard one bad thing said about Lindsey in all my life. All the way back to Kindergarten! It's simply the opposite. Everyone loves this girl.

So they say the best way to be chosen as parents is to tell everyone. So I'm sharing them with all of you. You can read their profile here.

Lindsey and Seth

I Love you guys!

Overheard

Jena speaking to Ryan after I have repeatedly asked them to put the couch cushions and pillows back on the couch.

'Ryan, come clean this up or we're going to get our butts kicked!'

Hilariously funny when overheard from the other room but...hmmm, I really say that, I should choose some different words.

By the way, the whole left side of my face is numb to the back of my ear. And I never thought I'd say this, but have enjoyed my last 2 dental visits. Dr. Adrian Vande Merwe is great, funny guy, great office, lots of laughing gas.

And just for my friend Tori, everyone go to her blog and leave her a comment. She thinks I'm the only one who looks at it, but Melissa does too. :) She's a very funny girl so she needs an audience. That's Crazy Talk

Are We Strange?

I am trying to keep my positive outlook going today.

This morning Barry told me of some friends of our that are struggling in their marriage and may be getting divorced. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach. I can't stop thinking about them. I am truly aching for them. What can I do? How can I help them? It has been years since my friend and I have been close but for 12 years she has been in my heart and in my prayers. I think of her often and wonder how she is. I have been so amazed at the adversity she and her husband have overcome.

I am a stranger to divorce. I think I only personally know maybe 3 people who have been divorced. I have been blessed to have this not be apart of my life. My husband knows it well and seems unaffected by it, though I know he is not. I had a friend once say to me, 'Don't you just ever have a fight or get so mad at your husband that you think divorce would be a better option?' My answer to that was no, never. My friend was honestly surprised and said she didn't believe me. I have never once been angry enough with my husband to even come close to that type of thinking. Divorcing him has never crossed my mind. And Barry has echoed me in this. Do we fight yes, although I think we argue or disagree more than fight. After 7 1/2 years of marriage I can count with the fingers on one hand the times we have been angry enough not to speak and then it only lasted a few hours. Are we the minority? I hope not, but perhaps we are.

I am sick to my stomach just thinking of their family parted. Thinking of the pain that they are in. I can't get myself to be productive today. I'm so distracted thinking their must be something I can do for them. So my heart and prayers are with my friend and her husband today.

Whaz Up?

Joe Cool Himself.

Ryan and his cousin Chris got to go to the Grizzley's Game with Aunt Michelle. Michelle is a Hockey freak! Freak I'm telling you and she won't even be offended by me saying that. She did have to explain that the fighting is only aloud on the ice. Thanks for that! The boys had a good time and are looking forward to the football game coming up.

Amelia and Lucy are here today. They all want to go outside and play. This usually ends with mud on the patio, mud in the hair, no shoes, no shirts and fighting over the swings.
I have just had them all standing in front of me repeating the following...

No MUD!
NO MUD!
No Taking your Shoes Off!
No Taking your Jackets Off!
No Fighting!
No Playing in the Garage or Cars!
No Going in the Front Yard!
NO Going to the School to Play with the Kids!
NO MUD!

It has seriously been about 6 minutes. They have shoes off, jackets off, verging on the garden full of mud and they are fighting about if they should go in the mud. Sara is dying to be out there in the mud with them. Instead, she is eating it off the floor. Mmmm, yummy! I swear I vacuumed 3 days ago.
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother.

My mama has been in Kansas for the last 10 days. Seeing the new baby. It is weird to talk about Kansas. I have family that lives in Kansas, it's like being apart of the Wizard of Oz. Anyway, we miss her and I have already asked her to watch my kido's tomorrow morning! Sad I know, but it is so I can go to the dentist. I'm just glad to leave my sweet little angels for and hour or so. Barry has been working 12 hour shifts everyday for the last few weeks and for the next 4 weeks too. I'm feeling a little frazzled.

I totally feeling like a soccer mom lately. Running here and there all the time. I can't keep it straight from one minute to the next what I'm doing. Jena's soccer or Ryan's soccer, is it my turn to bring treats? What field am I going to, do we have dance today? OH Crap t-ball is being thrown in the mix too! 2 School Schedules and poor Sara's naps are not what they should be, perhaps this is why she is so grumpy. Add to the mix 3 extra friends at the house today and we have a bit of craziness!

Flipped

We had a little Leg Wrestling match Sunday night with Tori.
She is the Crown Queen of Leg Wrestling.
She can beat most men no problem, the key is flexibility I think.
I was pretty proud, I held my own for a while.
The kids had a good time trying or being flipped over.

The Kidos

Jena decided last night she would like to put sponge curlers in her hair like we did when she was little.

This was this evening after being in a ponytail all day. How I wish she would have let me take a picture of it this morning. (She was in no mood for pictures and when Jena is in 'no mood' that means she's in 'quite a mood' and you don't mess with her or you will face the consequences.) When I took the curlers out and combed through it with my fingers it literally was standing straight out from her head in all directions. It was fascinating and hilarious! She was laughing at her self in the mirror all morning long and then decided we better put it in a pony so know one else would laugh at her.
Ry can't stand his soccer socks. They make his legs itch like crazy. I remember mine doing the same thing.
Who knew Ryan would be so great at soccer? He scored 6 of the 8 goals tonight. Did you know soccer was a full contact sport? Well in the 6 year old league it is, full contact with the ground, the coach and all the other kids. In fact it's like watching football with a round ball.
He runs himself so hard he is exhausted by the end of the game, I love that. ;) Did anyone catch Tori's comment before to Barry about Soccer?
Tori-'Barry is okay with your children playing soccer. Way to go Barry. You decided your kids needed a sport that actually gave the kids some exercise, unlike baseball. :)'

Too funny Tori! Barry hates soccer, not sure if I mentioned that, hates it. Shall I say it again? But really they do get so much more exercise and it is just as entertaining as kids missing the ball, swinging the bat in full circles and running the bases the wrong way. Good Times!

By the way, Deep down he is not really ok with it, just trying to be a 'Good' Dad and if you knock baseball again we might not let you in the house next time you come over! We still love your your guts though!

Disappointment

Melissa and I went to see The Other Boleyn Girl on Saturday. I was really excited to see it and I shouldn't have been. To be fair the movie would have been great had I not read the book. I kept trying to talk myself out of being so irritated at how different it was. But frankly, I was really disappointed! Having read the book, the movie didn't really make sense as far as the true story line goes.

I'm getting a little scared about the Twilight Movie too. You just can't take a book that great and make the movie as good. Especially since the choice in actors is already super disappointing already. I'm torn whether I'll go see it, probably will anyway. Can't wait for October so I can read the next book though!

Girls Night + 6 kids?

Tori, Melissa and I took our kids and nieces (Tori :)) to the U of U Gymnastics Meet on Friday night. We first stopped off at Wendy's and I'm sure people were ready to through us out. It was complete craziness but a good time too. Ryan was disappointed that BYU was not there and wants to go back when they are so he can cheer for them. He makes is Dad proud and Aunt Teri is still trying to pull him over to the Red side though. Mom could care less!

Hey 7th Ward

I was well, wasting time this afternoon and starting checking out all the blog links from other peoples blogs and ended up finding about 5 different blogs of people I went to High School with. Sort of funny actually, I felt like I should get in trouble for spying into their lives. Anyway, I ran into Kimi (Moriyama) Bradley's blog and thought there is a few of you out there that might want to check it out to. I'm so glad she found such a cute guy finally. Like it isn't Obvious!

So I'm a little obsesessed with the blogging thing. I'm not a big conversationalist (is that a word?) So I love everyone who has a blog. I harass all my friends to start one, they aren't listening so well.

Anyway, I was so excited to see Nat Steadman has finally decided to update her blog as well as my little bro Matt. Matt has some really great pics of 'his island' we have starting calling it. The kids can't remember 'Grand Turks', so we have just starting saying 'Matt's Island'.

Happy 2008!

Well, we played some games and ate too many treats. Tori of course was the life of the party. What would we do without you Tor? Then Teri apparently felt the need to relive being 15 years old and attacked me from behind with a nylon to the head. If you have never done this, you have to try it, it is pure, immature fun! ***Word of warning, use the bathroom first or you will pee your pants laughing!

I don't know how they talked Bart into doing this!

But he survived!

Good Laugh

Ok, sorry if you read Allison's blog too, but this was too funny! I just had to post it!

Our little Actress

Jena had her Preschool program last Thursday. She was so proud that she memorized all of her parts! It was darling, I love that this preschool presents a program about the nativity along with a few fun songs. I was so disappointed last year when Ryan and Jena's school did a program all about Santa. They seem to really learn and understand the story of Jesus Birth when they get to be apart of it.

So here is Jena in her acting debut!

Thanks Natasha for the expert videography! :)

Best Friends!
Lucy, Amelia and Jena
We are so glad Amelia and Jena are able to go to the same preschool this year. They are so cute together.
