my little jock

Ryan is pretty determined to play every sport possible and his latest was basketball.
He got to play on a team of boys that was all pretty much from our ward. It was fun to go watch the boys play, they have a lot to learn and they didn't even keep score (which really bugs the competitive side of me) but it will be fun to see them play next year now that they have some experience.

He finally let us cut his hair and we cut off 2 inches!
Now he thinks his faux-hawk is pretty awesome.
He also thinks he's pretty funny!  I'm not sure where he learned this PeeWee Herman impression but it completely surprised me when he walked in doing it and I laughed my butt off! (lmao...teri that's for you)

Here he is at the Blue and Gold banquet last month with his Arrow of Light Cake.
He loves scouts. I'm one of the Den leaders and it has been good for me to see him around the boys his age.  I think I push my kids pretty hard and expect a lot out of them and it's good to see what great kids I really do have.  He's a typical 8 year old that has more energy than he knows what to do with but he is also respectful to adults, helpful and caring to the other boys and really try's to do what is right.  He is also getting straight A's and reading at a 6th grade level! Woo Hoo!
I'm lucky to have such a great son!

Love you Ry!

Hey I'm one of the Webelos leaders in my ward - going on 3 years. It's been a fun challenge.

I can't believe you have an 8 year old!
